Suzanne Forster is the author of, The Arrangement.  It is a book of a bit of intrigue and mystery.  The Arrangement, is a story about a man named Andrew Villard who is caught up in a strange predicament.  He is being watched because his wife was mysteriously lost at sea.

When another  bruised and bloodied body presents itself in the sea…he goes to the hospital and convinces the victim to present herself as his wife.  Her face was badly damaged and she needed cosmetic surgery.  His wife is heir to a fortune.  But there is a catch to claiming that fortune…will she be entitled under the circumstances?  Who has reasons to keep her from her fortune?

Six months or so after the accident…the time has come to go back to the scene of  destruction and try to find out who is trying to intimidate and frame him for his wife’s “murder”.  Her real body has never been found.

In several understory twists, we find layer upon layer of lives that were woven together to reveal a pleasant picture; but, the knots on the back of the tapestry tell a different tale.  Will Andrew and Marnie (his wife apparent) live the remainder of their lives behind bars due to others trying to appease their personal vendetta’s?  With the FBI with an agenda put them away for fraud?  Or will the truth reveal itself in an ever more complex telling?

She said Yes….The Unlikely Martyrdom Of Cassie Bernall is quite a book.  It is not a huge long-winded book…but, the searching and yearning of a mother’s heart as she seeks to “know” more about her daughter, after her death in the Columbine shooting is quite inspiring.

Cassie Bernall is probably most remembered for her last spoken word.  That word was a simple, Yes.  It was in answer to the question, “Do you believe in God?”  There is so much more to who Cassie was; and, how she came to be the person she was…and this mother’s quest to understand the journey Cassie was on, is very enlightening.  It has alot to teach both parents and children.

From a typical teenager’s angst…to a world of occult, peer pressure, self- image struggles, drugs, cutting, and anger….the struggles that Cassie endured attest to the power of a parent’s love and intervention when it comes to fighting for a positive relationship with your child in the face of all that the world throws between parents/children.  This is a must read!
