I’ve often thought that self discovery is a life time journey. So many things in life are constantly moving and changing…but, a person’s basic emotional and spiritual makeup is pretty well set. However, understanding yourself and developing yourself to your highest level is something many people are content to ignore. Myself…I have tried to learn as I go. I am reading a wonderful book by Ralph P. Brown called, Awakening The Eagle: A guide to the medicine wheel. Ralph P. Brown is a native American of the Mohawk tribe. Ralph has written a book that explains the concept of the medicine wheel and how to apply it to our lives. The medicine wheel helps us in our journey of self discovery by teaching us life lessons that we can use to understand and explore the areas of our life that are often a mystery.

The medicine wheel uses stories and pictures as well as direct instruction to teach. The symbols and the energy forces add understanding to what we are to learn in our daily lives to be a better person and to live our lives more fully and with purpose. The realm of the physical and spiritual self are life forces that exist at the same time. People who are willing to seek guidance in their lives through learning about the merging of the physical, spiritual and emotional planes are often those people who seek to understand their purpose in life. We all have a purpose in life and are happiest when we are willing pursuing it. I found this book to be very enlightening.

The author, Ralph P. Brown is also a very talented artist. He does pointillistic art work. You can view some of his artistry here: http://www.mirroredwindows.com/ . Ralph and his wife Anita live in Nebraska and operate the Mirrored Windows Gallery which showcases Ralph’s gorgeous artwork. You can check out his website about this book here: http://www.ralphpbrown.com/. I think that you would find the book very informative as well as beautifully presented with a gorgeous cover and some artwork scattered through the pages of the book. Enjoy!

If you want to cut through the clutter and reach your ideal
target audience, so you can get your message in front of
millions, then I have some great news for you!

http://theimpactfactor.net/?id=35 You see, Ken McArthur has just published a book that is perfect
for people who are on a mission to be among the most successful
entrepreneurs in the world.

In fact, even internet marketers, CEOs, and champions of worthy
non-profit organizations need to be successful. But what do all
these people have in common?

Right! They all need to reach an large audience.

http://theimpactfactor.net/?id=35

David Shenk, in his book “Data Smog: Surviving the Information
Glut,” states that in 1971 we were exposed to an average of 560
advertising messages per day. By 1997 that number had grown to
over 3,000.

Today conservative estimates put it at over ten thousand!

That’s each and every day!

Think about it: Every time you flip through a newspaper or
magazine, you encounter hundreds of ads. Add to that everything
from TV and radio ads to product placements, billboards, direct
mail and postcards, ads on the Internet from every direction
(an hour of surfing on the web can easily yield more than a
thousand ads), ads on the sides of trucks, vans, signs hung on
telephone poles, telemarketing ads, door-to-door salesman, the
list goes on.

You can easily see how they add up quickly!

Everywhere we turn we’re being bombarded with ads from any and
every direction.

And that’s a BIG problem.

It’s one of the reasons why businesses that always found it
easy to turn a profit are starting to see their customer base
dry up.

They’re finding it increasingly difficult to maintain
their growth, even seeing income they once took for granted
shrivel up and die.

And forget it if you’re a newcomer to the entrepreneurial
world.

The odds are stacked higher against you than they ever were in
the history of mankind!

But more importantly, they need to cut through all that clutter
out there and get their message delivered, and more importantly
acted on!

Ken McArthur, just spent a solid year researching and mastering
the problem of how to get your ideas, products and services
noticed, and make sure that people spread your message to the
masses so that you can have a personal impact in a world that
doesn’t always want to pay attention.

Ken is about to share exactly what he discovered in his new
book, Impact: How to Get Noticed, Motivate Millions and Make a
Difference in a Noisy World.

In fact, there are only 4 days until Ken’s massive book launch
and the launch of Ken’s totally unique Impact Mentoring System.

Ken surveyed THOUSANDS of people to set up his system through
the MBS Internet Research Center. http://theimpactfactor.net/?id=35

On launch day Ken is handing out thousands of dollars worth of
bonuses and even zero cost tickets to live events to people
who order his book, but even if you DON’T want Ken’s book, you
can still make out like a bandit and invest NOTHING.

Ken is handing out some amazing tips and resources, with audios
and videos from some impact building experts which you can
download INSTANTLY right now.

http://theimpactfactor.net/?id=35

But here’s something even better …

Ken is letting me invite you to a FUN-FILLED Pre-Launch Party
on Monday, May 12th at 9 PM Eastern Time.

Ken will be unveiling a bunch of new surprises and some great
questions about creating impact and reaching a mass audience
in a great marathon “pick their brains” session.

Fearless Living; Live Without Excuses and Love Without Regret is written by life/career coach Rhonda Britten. She is a former coach from the ground breaking television show Starting Over. That show was all about re-grouping from whatever starting point a person is at where they are experiencing difficulties in their life and taking charge by starting over.

This book explores a little background from Rhonda’s personal journey (such as witnessing and overcoming the murder/suicide of her parents) as well as outlinning the development of her program that she uses in her sucessful business of life/career coaching.

The book uses some of the cases with her clients for illustration as well as giving exercises on developing techniques for isolating the things that hold people back and using short little exercises teaching how to change the way a person views obstacles in their path.

I like the parts about teaching yourself to acknowledge the positive things about oneself and to be aware of negative self talk so that it can be overcome. We all can learn to improve those situations in our head that tell us that we just aren’t competent enough, or smart enough or deserving enough for all the good things in life that others seem to be enjoying with such relish!

I found the book to be personally challenging to me in problem areas that i deal with in my own life. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their own circumstances.

It was copyrighted in 2001 and was published by Dutton, Penguin Group. You can see Rhonda’s website at: http://rhondabritten.com.
