I have also heard Mr. Creagh speek and I completely agree with everything he is saying about todays youth. I am a teacher for high school and middle school students. I have worked in both a town suffering from generational poverty and one of great wealth. The students in both do not differ much. They expect things to be handed to them. They feel they are above the rules. And I feel sorry for them. I am not even a full generation gap from the students I teach, yet I feel as though we are so different I may as well be their grandma. My parents were not tough but they held high expectations and expected them to be met. Every time I talk to them I thank them for demanding the best from me. We need to demand the best out of all of Americas youth. I may be unpopular while they are in my classroom, but they always come back to visit me with a smile.
